Denied an EFIN? Your tax business does not have to stop there.
The Freedom Filing Partner Program is a compliance-first software pathway for experienced PTIN holders with at least 100 funded bank products who want structure, support, eligible backend earning opportunities, and the ability to keep their tax prep fees without splitting them.
All the structure. More freedom. Less gatekeeping.
This program was created for experienced preparers who may not be able to get their own EFIN but are still capable of running a serious, compliant tax business.

This is personal.
This program was inspired by the reality that some tax professionals get denied, delayed, or blocked from getting an EFIN — even when they have the experience and the client volume to serve. Elevation built a structured pathway for serious PTIN holders who want to keep growing without cutting corners.
You are not buying an EFIN. You are applying to become a vetted partner inside a compliance-first software and support program.
You may qualify if you have:
- A valid PTIN for the current filing season
- At least 100 funded bank products from the most recent season
- Tax preparation experience and clean client workflow
- Willingness to complete compliance onboarding and vetting
- A desire to keep your tax prep fees and grow your volume
This is not for:
- Ghost preparers or anyone refusing to sign returns properly
- People who want to bypass compliance or hide from IRS rules
- Preparers with unresolved due diligence issues
- Anyone who charges based on refund size or pushes inflated refunds
- Low-volume hobby preparers looking for a side hustle

Common questions
Am I buying or renting an EFIN?
No. EFINs are not sold, rented, or transferred. This is a vetted partner program with software, support, workflow, training, and compliance guardrails.
Do I keep my tax prep fees?
Yes. Approved partners keep their tax preparation fees. Elevation does not take a percentage split of your prep fee revenue.
Can I earn backend or funded-volume add-ons?
Qualified partners may be eligible for approved backend and volume-based earning opportunities based on bank/software rules, state rules, compliance status, and approved fee schedules.
Why do I need at least 100 funded bank products?
This program is designed for experienced preparers who already understand tax season volume, bank product workflow, client service, and operational responsibility.
Can I apply if I was denied an EFIN?
Yes. An EFIN denial does not automatically disqualify you. However, every applicant must complete vetting and compliance review before acceptance.
